Graphiarium is a Latin word meaning a device that holds a pencil.
These drawing machines are the result of my final major project for my art and design foundation year, my idea was to create something where people had to get involved and have a hands on experience rather than passively viewing images, so I thought well, let people make the art themselves!
The two machines are very different and all the pictures you see here so far are of the prototypes, the original devices I made in college. As soon as the first production is underway there will be photos.
They are both available to purchase and a larger version of the drunken compass is in the works as well.
Both machines are made of laser cut wood that has been varnished so all wood is smooth.
